Sweet Tilly another Simply Betty release

Welcome Tilly isn't she just adorable!  So on this card I colored Tilly first then used an embossing pen and pearl glitter embossing powder for the spots on her dress and her bracelet.  I set her aside and started on the card.  I knew I wanted a spring card so what is more spring than flowers climbing a garden wall trellis.  I cut a rectangle hole out of my card and a backing paper, free handed a trellis with eighth inch strips of white card.  The flowers were all made with my cuttlebug and the Dahlia nestabilities set.  the roses on the front are made with 3 cuts from the smallest die and the inside flower from the smallest 2.  The leaves are freehand cut from green wrapping paper ribbon, as well as the ribbon on the inside of the card.  I used my grass punch as well and viola!  Hope you like it, cus I really liked how she turned out.

Scott a new Digi from Simply Betty

So here is what I came up with for Scott. Isn't he a cutie!  First I colored him up with sharpies and Copics ( I finally got a few, 4 to be exact, but it's a start).  I cut out a basket shape on the front of my card then started a basket weave. The handle is made using braided ribbon.  I then used a punch for the grass and layered it in the basket.  I used the same for the grass on the bottom of the card.  I used a light blue and a white ink and a cut flower for the clouds.  It looked a lil too plain so I enlarged the eggs from the Scott digi and added them into the grass.  I used a large purple egg that is really a sticky note (target for $1) for a place to write on the inside. Simple but I liked the way he turned out..Hope you like him.

Anniversary card

I really liked how this turned out I don't have the stampin up punch that you are supposed to use or the circle punch but I improvised and this is what I came up with.  Check out http://www.youtube.com/user/vadeler#p/u/10/DIl1SXG2IOs for the tutorial.  Valita's fresh fold if you want to search and it is the valentine heart punch couple.

Simply Betty Let's Celebrate!

Woohoo it's my first time on a design team and I am super excited to be here.  For my first card I chose to use Scott from the Sweet Gothic Kids B-day set.  A hard choice because they are all so adorable.  I wanted to make a more simple streamlined "guys" card so here is what I came up with.  I used a pirate stamp set to create a window then cut that out on my background paper and card.  I loved Scott's tattoo so I used that as an idea to create my own background papers.  I then just added a blue and white striped ribbon to pull out a little of the color from his jeans. Hope you like him arrrr!

Simply Betty's Recycle Challenge

Here is my entry for the Recycle challenge.  This is a close to our hearts challenge.  I recycle and reuse what I can anyway, not just for my crafts but household as well.  It helps the environment to recycle and with 3 kiddo's and only hubby's income it gives me more to play with as my crafts have a limited budget. :)
I chose to use the Emmy Digi she is so cute I couldn't help it.  I created a Welcome Spring card for 2 reasons.  First I am so tired of snow and we are under another storm warning 7-13" heading our way so I am so ready for spring.  This card is going to Emily because she has been going around say " the groundhog is such a liar" lol what a card she is.
The recycled part of the card is first the mushroom background, Emmy got a bratz angelz fairy doll for her birthday and this was behind the doll.  It had a couple rips which I covered with the flower, the digi herself and the small butterfly.  The Butterfly was also on the package, the other side says something about an online code.  I pressed it onto a blue stamp pad and when it dried used stickles.  The wand I added to Emmy's hand is a broken stick pin that I also stickled.  I added the lil spring banner on the bottom of the front mushroom to cover some other print.  The top ribbon was off the wrapping from the gift.  The large butterfly at the top was a leftover valentine card and the circle behind it was the top off an empty ribbon spool.  This was so much fun thanks for an amazing challenge.

Wow it's been awhile!

I have missed being online lately but first my Hubby was very very ill, then I was down with a nasty bug, then my poor lil Emmy got sick and is just now back to school.  She still has a lil cough but is doing so much better.  Don't you just hate it when your little ones run those high fevers for what seems like forever.  Anyway I am finally getting back to posting.  Here are a couple cards I made quick for a Valentine poster display.

Here I used Tobie & his Buddy from Some Odd Girl.  I adore this lil guy, I colored him with sharpie markers.  I added a lil more mud to his shoes cus lets face it if ya got mud on your pants ya gots mud on your shoes Lol, anyway I used a simple blue patterned paper circle to make him pop.  A Kiss me & Happy Valentines Day stamp, then a metallic red ribbon I got on sale after Christmas to finish. What a boy's card : )

On a blue card I layered white cardstock &glitter. Then a smaller pink which I used a corner rounder on. A smaller piece of white was used next which I punched the corners then used a blue inkpad to add the pale color.  I layered this onto the pink & added more glitter, this time a chunky one.  I colored the digi ( a freebie but I can't find where I got this :( I'm sorry & if anyone knows please let me know so I may give credit to this artist.) with sharpie markers I added a lil bling to the bottom of the hearts. A flower finishes this one off.

Here I used a striped Christmas paper the border is a M.S. edge punch.  I used my cuttlebug to make the stamp, added a simple pink ribbon and two paper roses.  The I Love You is a stamp and Emily added the foil sticker.

Thanks for visiting I can't wait to get back in the swing of posting more often (knock on wood for no more family illnesses) :) Anyway leave me a word if ya got a second, I love to read what ya think.
