Just a quick thank you card.

I made this using the stamp in up build a blossom stamp set and blossom petals punch.  I stamped on crushed curry cardstock with so saffron ink.  The purple and green papers were from scraps and the purple ribbon I picked up at Walmart (i think).  I used a very thin ribbon pulled it through the button holes then frayed the ends to make the stamen for the flower.  The pic. is taken on my new phone so was kinda playing with scraps and the phone at the same time;) lol

Sympathy card

Here is a quick card I made for one of my Mother's coworkers who lost her father last Thursday.  I used the stampin up set Thanks for Caring for the sentiment.  I made the medallion behind it with the nestabilities small scallop set.  I also embossed with my cuttlebug.  I took this photo and then realized that it needed a bit more so I added a tiny pearl in the middle above the with deepest.  Sorry no time for another photo as mom got here to pick it up.  The inside is stamped "May you find peace and comfort in this difficult time"

Cricut Card Fairies 3 years Celebration! Blog Hop!! Day 2

So here is a very quick page I did for my "Fairy" portion of the hop.  I am leaving early for a soccer tournament weekend and will not be back till late Sunday so this is my last post for the hop.  I loved the pic of this fairy and colored it with stampin-up and copics and sharpie markers.  To me this looks as the fairy is helping a lil lost girl get home with her pixie helper riding a bat.  I hope this is what my cards do for someone, brighten their day.  I made another rose, purple this time and the butterfly is from the new Strength and Hope set from Stampin-Up. This set benefits breast cancer research fund.  Have a great weekend and don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a lil Candy surprise.

Cricut Card Fairies 3 years Celebration! Blog Hop!!

Happy Friday! Today we are celebrating the Cricut Card Fairies!! We turned THREE YEARS OLD yesterday! YAY! What are Cricut Card Fairies you may be asking? Well I am here to tell you! We are a group of crafting volunteers who LOVE to send cards to those that need it. To date we have sent over 750 missions all over the globe. That is over 750 smiles and hugs via cards. Isn't that amazing? I became a fairy in 2009 because I believe everyone can make a difference.  I teach my children that you don't need a lot of money to make a difference in someones life.  Being a fairy gives me a good feeling knowing I may be the difference between a happy day or moment and a sad one.  If you are interested in becoming a fairy you can email Crystal at with your cricut messageboard name and the email for which you wish to receive missions.
Here is the card I have made for the celebration. I used some stampin up stamps and made the rose with the owl punch.  This is why I love being a fairy the sentiment says "one person can make such a difference and that person is you!  Happy Birthday fairies!  Leave a comment for a chance to win some candy!
Here is the hop list.
I'm RachelM and next is Sheryl. have fun hopping.

For all who like the rose, here is where I found how to make it
