SBS day 3 Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree your branches are so dry and Creepy!

Here is my entry for day 3.  I have no idea what hit me with this one, probably because I had a dish with lil google eyes sitting on my desk when I started this.  I used Witch Betty coloring her with sharpies.  I wrapped the tree which is cut from the heritage cart with tinsel ribbon.  Then added small gems and the lil google eyes.  I added a lil cotton fluff to Bettys hat and snowflakes to the top corners.  The Bat and spider were just a natural touch to the tree, at least in my mind. Lol!  I embossed the bird in red and added a red ribbon trail.  For the sentiment I changed the deck the halls song, I was getting ready to print this when Hubby walked in and asked what the Hell is wrong with you? lol After Printing "Deck the boughs with bats and eyeballs, Tra lalalala lala la la" I tore the paper and inked it first with blue and then black.I really liked the way this turned out. I just wish I had my new camera to really share the colors .  Cheers

Day 2 of the 12 days of christmas at SBS

Day 2 card inspired by the Grinch.  Here are my versions of Cindy Loo and the Grinch, the sentiment is inspired by my baby niece who says Prezzie instead of present.  The light post is from stampin up, my Grinch is SBS halloween Vamp Christian, my Cindy Loo is Gothic girl from http://t-digi.blogspot.com/  .  The stamps were all colored with sharpies, the front layer of snow is embossed with the swiss dots folder.  Lots of clear glitter to add an icy feel.  This is so much fun hope you like it.

The pic is still from my phone so sorry the sentiment says "Ready for your Prezzie" under the girl and Christian is saying "Prezzie, Prezzie Bah Humbug"

Simply Betty Challenge 12 days of Christmas day 1

The first challenge is to use a Halloween Digi on a Christmas card.  I chose pumpkin London, her stripes reminded me of candy cane and peppermints.  I colored her with sharpie markers then cut her out.  I used the snowflakes embossing folder in the cuttlebug to emboss my lt blue textured cardstock.  I cut out the pepermint candy from the Joys of the Season cartridge.  The senntiment is from My Pink Stamper I added a red and gold ribbon for the trim.  It all fits in an A2 envelope and is for my lil Sweetie.( SBS are her fav.'s and she spent the day helping take care of her baby nieces)

Here is my super simple card.  Sorry for the crappy photo my camera is having issues and all I have is my cell phone to take pics.

Cricut Card Fairy Blog Hop

Welcome to the Cricut Card Fairy Blog Hop. This month we are practicing being thankful for all the blessings in our lives. What are you thankful for? Do you stop daily and thank those around you for blessing you? Do you appreciate the small things in life? I sure hope so! With that in mind my wonderful fairies have put together some awesome THANKSGIVING/THANKFUL themed crafty items. Along the way there will be opportunities for inspiration, and blog candy. So make sure you hop all the way through, leave comments on every blog, and then a comment here on my blog when finished. I will be giving away a BNIP Hello Kitty Greetings cart to a person that comments on ALL the blogs and here too! Happy hopping!

I have been having issues trying to post this so I hope it goes through this time.

I have 2 projects I would like to share the first is a simple tag cut on my cricut and embossed with the cuttlebug.  The digi is Grace from Simply Betty Stamps, colored with sharpie markers.

My next project is my first paperbag album.  I am most thankful for my family so this is a family album with plenty of space for each member to add what they are thankful for this year.

Here is the cover.  The flower was made with the cuttlebug and my Dahlia nestabilities the bronze paper was embossed with my swiss dots as was the family title which is cut from the Heritage cart.

Page 1 the little house in the corner was made when I cut out a page full of arrows for my daughters class the space left over in between each arrow looked like a house and I hate to waste anything.:)
The tag is pg 1 pocket

pg 2
The lg paper bag pocket tag.

There are more pages but there is a lot more hopping to do so I will share more on my blog later.

Right now you need to hop on over to  www.kisatrtleskreativekorner.blogspot.com for more fun.

Make sure to leave comments along the way for chances to win some great candy.    My candy is a surprise stamp set!

A work in progress and my Thankful post for today!

Today I am Thankful our VETERANS, without these brave men and women who knows what America would be today!

The two most loving, influential men in my life were Veterans.  My grandfather a very hard working farmer, who served in the Army,  and my Father-in-law (seen below) who was a Navy man.  Although both are no longer with us the lessons, love and laughter they brought our lives remains still, in our Hearts!

My work in progress page is one my daughters favorite pictures of her Grandfather. We only have a paper copy but it deserved a special place!  Emily and I have been working on it but it is still not quite how we would like it.(sorry for the crappy pic camera is acting up so this is from my phone)
